Leaving Town

1978 ADC's

Medical Problems
I was constantly being approached by strangers who were turning out to be old friends, classmates, teachers, aquantiances or associates that I had no memory of. I carried a note from my Doctors stating my medical condition but my friends and family would feel hurt that I couldn't recall them. If they tried to force me to bring memories to the conscious mind - it would cause migrane headaches. The Doctors offered to prescribe medications but warned me about an addiction. They felt I had been mentally and emotionally handicaped by my conditon and warned this was prelude to addiction. I refused to take the medicaiton and asked for advise to help avoid the massive migranes. They advised me to change locations for a length of time to aid in my recovery process. I threw a dart at a map on the wall and asked the Spirit of Creation to help me choose a location to settle into.

Controversy
I also had rumors starting up that I had conjured up the 'spirit' of a dead man. This started a controversial subject matter concerning various people's belief in religion. Some people accused me of doing the 'devil's work.' My Grandfather said the idea of leaving town for awhile might be best for me - since there was a lynch mob hovering around me with a bucket of tar and a bag full of feathers. I felt I had done my homework and said my prayers. My Grandfather agreed with me but said sometimes,

"No good deed goes unpunished."
