Young Adult Soulmate: Rockrolla
The second case of meeting a past life friend was near the end of the school year in sixth grade. He had just lost his Grandpa and was in a depressed state.
First Meeting
We were as different as two people could be. I had briefly met him the night of my car accident and something inside of me clicked. When I had my 'near death experience' and woke up with amnesia, I became intimidated by my old friends. They knew more about my life than I did. I started thinking of a way to find a new friend and I recalled a segment of my 'out of body' knowledge in the NDE where it was shown to me something of a mystical connection between the young lad and myself. He was only 16 years old when we met the night of my NDE.
I knew his cousin and asked for a formal introduction. I felt there was a mystical history associated with us in the 'spiritual realm.' I couldn't put my finger on it.
I needed a new friend to talk to about the mystery I had been through.
When I finally met him in person and we became friends and told him about my
trip beyond, he had already heard the rumors circulating on the grapevine.
He was interested without being critical. What I needed in the moment. He
asked me why I choose to come back into this world.
I honestly had no idea how to give a simple answer but a part of the
equation was to meet him in person. I felt that I was shown a ‘deep’
mystical connection between us and that there was a friendship waiting to
bloom and blossom between us.
One thing I had learned from my ‘NDE’s’ was – you don’t take material
objects with you when you leave but you do keep the ‘eternal bonds’ of
friendships and love you share with other people. That was eternal and there
was a reward to that on the other side. I told him,
“Over there – to be offered an eternal friendship is like someone holding
out a pot of gold worth a million dollars. You can’t pass it up. It was like
instinct kicked in and the only way I could get my hands on that type of
treasure was to come back into this world and look you up to see what sort
of treasured moment we are going to be able to share in our friendship
together. It is what makes life worth living here on this side.”
I asked him about his beliefs in reincarnation. He didn't believe in it. I told him that our beliefs were temporary and could change with the wind. Truth was eternal and hidden away in the depth of our hearts and souls. I was confused about having a past life connection memory while he was deaf, dumb and blind to it. I didn't need confirmation in his case because I had it on spiritual authority through my near death experience.
I respected his beliefs and never tried to impose my spiritual insight on his mind of understanding at 16 and 17.
